1940 Dollar Sign #6 Monopoly Game

Parker Brothers was not very clear as to the #6 Game designation. Collectors commonly refer to #6 Games as Blue Box Games. But, based on Parker Brothers game inserts, the #6 also covers "Black Bound" boards which I have designated as the Dollar Sign ($) #6 Edition. The $ is the most prominent feature on these Black Box/Board Games and gives a clearer distinction between the two #6 games. Also, in Parker Brothers inserts from 1938 onward, the #6 games were also referred to as Junior Editions. The 1946 Dollar Sign #6 game is the only game that actually had the #6 printed on the Board and Game Box.

This specific box and board configuration were manufactured from 1940 to 1946 Drops the game tokens on the Box and Board labels. Also uses the single 2,026,082 Patent. Even though wooden tokens where used starting in 1936, metal and wooden tokens were used in the 1940 version. During World War 2, the Dollar Sign #6 Editions used only wooden and composite tokens.

This set in Very Good Condition is Rare.
